The club runs on volunteers — North West Sydney Hurricanes

Scorers, team managers, canteen help and a hand with the covers — a few hours across a season keeps every side on the park.

Every game the Hurricanes play happens because somebody volunteered. Not in a grand way — in a “can you score this innings” way.

What we need

Scorers. The single most useful thing you can do if you’re not playing. We’ll teach you; it takes one afternoon to pick up.
Team managers, particularly for the junior representative sides.
Canteen and barbecue help on home game days.
Ground duty — covers on, covers off, sightscreens moved.

What it actually costs you

A few hours across a whole season. Most people who help out end up doing it because they were already at the ground watching, and it turns out being useful is more fun than standing around.

Committee

We are always glad to hear from people interested in a committee role. You do not need a background in cricket administration — you need to be reliable and willing to answer emails.
