The club started in 1982 in the Wentworthville/Blacktown District Shires competition, later playing as Holroyd District Cricket Club.
It took its current shape in 2000, when Holroyd merged with Baulkham Hills Shires. The combined club became North West Sydney, and later the Hurricanes.

Kanebridge Oval is built to competition standard and floodlit, with an amenities building, canteen and plenty of parking.
It is not our only ground — we also play at Baulkham Hills, Bella Vista, Castle Hill and Kellyville Ridge.
